Jack Francisco

Jack Francisco is a research technician who joined the Rizzo lab in February of 2025. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2024 with a degree in Biological Sciences, a minor in Chemistry, and a certificate in German language, of which he is fluent. Jack was previously involved in the Wei laboratory as an undergraduate researcher, where he worked to identify genetic mechanisms within Zebrafish eyes responsible for determining the pattern of rods and color-sensitive cones within the retina, with hopeful applications in better understanding the genetic causes behind human eye diseases. Jack is aspiring to attend graduate school in the near future to continue his path down the road of the biological sciences.
